Be encouraged with these daily bible study verses.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am
your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my
righteous right hand.
But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before
you and trust in you with all my heart.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I
give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do
not be afraid.
For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy
Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.
A real love for others will chase those worries away. The
thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows that we have not
really learned to love.
Whenever my busy thoughts were out of control, the soothing
comfort of your presence calmed me down and overwhelmed me with delight.
Now this is what the Lord says. He created you, people of
Jacob. He formed you, people of Israel. He says, “Don’t be afraid, because I
have saved you. I have called you by name, and you are mine.
Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs him down, but an
encouraging word brings him joy.
I may walk through a valley that is as dark as death. But I
will not be afraid of any danger. This is because you are with me, Lord. Your
stick and your shepherd's pole make me feel brave.
Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and
confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with
you wherever you go.”
Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge
that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
“Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that
he will lift you up in his own good time.
Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.”
Say to people who are afraid and confused, “Be strong. Don’t
be afraid. Look, your God will come, and he will punish your enemies. He will
make them pay for the wrongs they did. He will come and save you.”
“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about
your body, what you will wear. Life is
more than food, and the body more than clothes.
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or
barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour
to his life? Since you cannot do this
very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”
Take your problems to the Lord. He will take care of you. He
will never let his own people fall.
Yahweh is my revelation-light and the source of my
salvation. I fear no one! I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh,
surround and protect me.
They all saw him and were terrified. But Jesus spoke to them
and said, “Have courage! It is I! Do not be afraid.”
“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give
them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s
right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”
“'For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right
hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, for I myself will help
you,' declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.”
God is a strong place for us, where he will keep us safe. He
will always help us when troubles come.
“The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper.”
It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of
you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.
“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet!
Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so
afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
His angel guards those who honor the Lord and rescues them
from danger.
Even if you must suffer for doing good things, God will
bless you. So stop being afraid and don’t worry about what people might do.
Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress, and
he answered me. He freed me from all my fears!
So do not be afraid of them. The Lord your God himself will
fight to help you.
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he
placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the
Last.
Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the
leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me.”
The Lord your God is with you. The mighty One will save you.
The Lord will be happy with you. You will rest in his love. He will sing and be
joyful about you.”
