Daily Bible Study Verse
You satisfy my every desire with good things.
You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again
like a flying eagle in the sky! You’re a God who makes things right,
giving justice to the defenseless.
It’s obvious that waiting is something difficult for us to do. But all throughout the Bible, scripture encourages us to wait with expectancy, yet we live in a culture where we get frustrated when we have to wait in queues when our flight is delayed or an extra two minutes when the traffic light turns red.
“This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your word brings me hope.” Psalm 130 starts out with the Psalmist crying out in the depths of despair. The verse that precedes verse 5 says, “But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful.”
Waiting is thus the opposite of despair and hopelessness.
Waiting period actually serves as a time of preparation for the answer. If God answered right away, many of us would be ill-prepared to handle His solution.
God is the only one you should be waiting on. He is the only one that can bring your breakthrough and his Word is the only thing that can bring you hope.
How To Wait on God:
Be expectant for It to happen
As the pregnancy of a woman; it's said that she is expecting a baby. She prepares for the baby when it is born, it's just a matter of time for the baby to be born. She is expectant all the time, and she'll wait as long as it takes.
Eagerly wait in Faith
Once you've prayed to God to solve a problem, you need to be eagerly awaiting for His answer. When your heart is eager to hear from God, He loves to rush in suddenly with His solution.
When you wait put your hope in God, you will be disappointed He will never disappoint you.
